Can't find saved game file

Post by kerog »

I don't know if this has anything to do with using BootCamp on a Mac, but the saved game folder only contains one game: Fast Start Global War.GAM, when I look at it in the windows explorer. But the WIF interface shows all my saved games properly. Anyone know what's up with that? I want to move some saved games into a different folder, but can't find the to move them.

Thanks

IN the route where you can find Fast Start Global War.GAM you'll find this and only the ones you make yourself.

All the autosaves are in a folder there called autosave and inside two folders inside this one called Axis or Allies.

An example of my route:

C:\Matrix Games\World in Flames\Scenarios\GlobalWar\Saved Games\Autosave or

C:\Matrix Games\World in Flames\Scenarios\GlobalWar\Saved Games\Autosave\Axis

C:\Matrix Games\World in Flames\Scenarios\GlobalWar\Saved Games\Autosave\Allied

But if you want to access from the game menu, which is what I think you want, just select the radio button "Global War" in the Full Map Scenarios menu, and then "Autosave General" or "Autosave Axis" or "Autosave Allies" in the "Directory Choice" menu.

If you are running v3.0.2 or v3.2.0. The saved games are stored under C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\World in Flames\Scenarios\Barbarossa\Saved Games.

If you are running either of these versions, that's where they are kept. Probably the same for additional versions as well.

Weird because I am using v3.0.2 and they go where I mentioned. But the original install was made years ago, and I think I had problems back then because I installed in another route, so I was tod to do the c:\Matrix Games... one, so maybe the program is respecting this when it's an update.
