Tactical Bombers and De-trenching

Was curious if Tactical Bombers need to be upgraded to 1 to de-trench? I'm in a pbem match for the first time since a long hiatus and can't remember for sure.

I looked at my old manual and the table says that Tactical Bombers can indeed detrench. However, in the match I'm in as Allies, I have Tobruk under seige, the Italian Army unit trapped inside is at fortification 6 but out of supply, and my two supplied tac bmrs are not reducing the entrenchments. My scratch force of UK infantry are taking it down 1 point per attack..but this is costly.

Any help or clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated. [8D]

They need tech level 2 for de-entrenchment these days. Medium Bombers can de-entrench without any tech, but increasing their tech improves their demoralisation stat.
