Play against yourself

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Is it possible to play against yourself like you can do in the AGEOD games? Or is this only against the AI or another human by PBEM.

aye, just set the game up as human for both sides and you can rotate between the 2.

it can be a handy way to explore some of the game's feedback loops but for the campaign I'd say the Axis AI (set to 110 morale) will actually give you a decent game overall
