Hi

The best thing to do will be to search the Manual for HQ as there are a few sections that describe their use, especially 5.12. HQs and in providing supply.

In brief, HQs are vital to a) success in combat and b) providing supply.

Players will probably be willing to give advice and comment on their own experiences in the main forum, as there may be different ideas on how best to use HQs.
