New PBEM game

I tried to create a new PBEM challenge for my teenager and me during lunch, but somehow it seems I failed.

1. Created a game with password
2. As I'm Axis this time, I click on open challenge, enter password, plays Axis turn.
3. Allies don't see the turn ...

I wonder if it is not the Allies that must create the challenge, and then the Axis sees it in open challenges and plays his turn in fact

Hi Pocus,

I'm not sure about the issue as it should work fine, no matter who starts or who creates the challenge and whether or not the challenger will go first or not once the challenge is accepted.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps the serial numbers and user names are not matching up the way they should on your end?

For example, if the serial number associated with the username doesn't match it might create this issue, maybe.

What I would double check, for each PC (assuming two PCs are being used here), is to see if the serial number in the registry matches the one in the serialreg.txt in the installation folder, and then that the username in the SC3.ini file (found within the USER folder for the game) is different and correct for each player, e.g. matching his serial number and so on.

Hopefully that resolves it for you, but if not let me know,

This might be a possibility, I'll have to ask my son. Two PCs indeed, and we already did a PBEM game previously (although my son navigates between 2 PCs, each his own).

In anycase, it worked when he created the game and waited for me to declare myself as Axis, playing my turn. Thanks Hubert.
