[1.07.01] After taking major's city remainder of the zone becomes "none"

Post by V4ndall »

As in title, after taking a major's city the remainder of the zone turned into zone called "none". This zone is non intractable - no stratagems can be played on it. I suspect there's another city out there, since the regime wasn't defeated and the troops still make their moves.

I’m afraid that’s the way major powers work when you take their last city. Unlike minors, their units linger on, out of supply, until they starve or you mercifully destroy them in combat first.

And also unlike minors, you don’t automatically get their remaining hexes. They go dark and become a “None” zone, which as you correctly point out can’t have stratagems played (including spies) so you have to grope through with your forces and take the terrain manually.

It still seems like the "none" zones are some kind of a bug. Besides the remnant of that major, I have two others in my game. One non aligned and one territory, and if it's normally possible to spy on wild animals or mutants it looks more like something that just didn't get initialized properly as a zone after territory ownership changed.
