whiteprint SS winterized or not

Post by Incy »

Hi, with the game comes 2 2d10 charts, one PDF and one jpg.

One says the whiteprint SS is winterized, the other doesn't. Which is correct? I think the game implements that it is not?

Hi.

The whiteprint SS are not winterized.

That they are is an obsolete rule.

RAW:

Note: Winterised units are Ski, MTN, Swedish, Finnish,
Norwegian and white print Russian units.

SS units are not winterised.

Whichever 2D10 chart has that - it is very ancient. Once, long ago, SS were winterized.

Note that all mountain units are winterized, so the SS mountain unit also is winterized.

This came up in my current game.
30:5 = 6:1 = +12
-4 for snow
+6 for winterised Soviet units = +14

Why is it only +12 ?

4 of the attacking units are on the other side of a river. It's not only the combat factors which are halved, but modifiers are also halved for the attacker.
