RE: [Tool] Command Scenario Browser - CMANO Scen View
Hi,
the scores/comments are stored right next to the scenario files with the scheme [scenariofilename].note
The notes are simple xml files.
Scenario rating would be great if it could be shared with others. I do consider adding a local rating score but I don't have the time right now.

Lunex

Thanks Lunex!
RE: [Tool] Command Scenario Browser - CMANO Scen View
Hi looks great but how do I install it? Ran setup from the desktop but nothing shows up. What am I missing?
RE: [Tool] Command Scenario Browser - CMANO Scen View
Hi Perham,
are you on windows 10? You should be able to execute the download but there can be, depending on Browser and operating system, multiple warnings because I cant afford an official developer certificate to sign the software.
If you get this warning:

you can continue under "More info".

Hi Lunes
I don't get that message. I run the installer and get a message window headed Unknown Publisher. I then select the run option and everything looks like a nomal install. But I can't then find the app.
Should I be running the setup app from somewhere other than the desktop? Not in either of the Programs folders on C: or in the CMO folder
I'm running win 10, fully up to date as of last Wednesday. CMO is running from Steam on a dedicated Games drive (D:).
RE: [Tool] Command Scenario Browser - CMANO Scen View
Try typing "CMANO" in the botton left search bar (the one with the magnifying glass) and see if "CMANO Scen View" shows up...

correct, sounds like the install succeeded.
CMANO Scen View should be in your startmenu now.
Do as mikerohan said or just hit the windows Key and start typing "CMANO"

RE: [Tool] Command Scenario Browser - CMANO Scen View
Very useful tool - particularly for someone who's a beginner like me

RE: [Tool] Command Scenario Browser - CMANO Scen View
It has been awhile, and I've used CMANO and now CMO for awhile and didn't know this tool existed until by chance I saw it mentioned on a Steam discussion.
Lunex, you did great, a very useful tool. I didn't pick up my custom scenarios, so I moved to the folder I pointed your tool to and all is fine.
One thing missing is Steam support. They put the Steam Scenarios in the ../steamapps/workshop/content/1076160/... Probably a head ache trying to work that out. I know the majority are in the custom scenario pack, but a lot are not. I might be asking too much to figure out Steam method of doing things and access Steam workshop folders.
Anyway, as it is, wonderful job. I noted you mentioned coding style, comments, etc. That stuff should not bother you, working as designed is what is most important of all. Excellent job. Sure, some performance improvements might be done, some other tricks of the trade might help, but your end result is what counts. Nice work.
I wish I had this years ago. Oh well, better late than never.

RE: [Tool] Command Scenario Browser - CMANO Scen View
Hey gbaby (or anyone else using the steam version):
Can you confirm the following:
a) in your main Command install folder from steam is a file "steam_appid.txt" which contains an id file to identify command in steam (i guess)
b) downloaded workshop scenarios are located in ../steamapps/workshop/content/[steam id from appid.txt]/..
can you confirm that this is also true for your steam installations?
Edit:
c) has everyone else also Steam App 321410 for command is this ID always the same per game?
d) in case c) is true, can anyone tell me the appid for the new "Command: Modern Operations" as I dont own it?
thanks
Lunex

RE: [Tool] Command Scenario Browser - CMANO Scen View
ok, i've just pusblished an update which adds steam workshop support.
Could you give it a try and report back if its working for you?
I could just test it on my machine and my non standard steam install folder - hope it works for everyone else, too.
regards,
Lunex

RE: [Tool] Command Scenario Browser - CMANO Scen View
Lunex, I discovered that exiting Scen View and then firing it up again resolved the font size issue so it is only initial launch where the fonts are displayed impossibly small.

Hey Julian,
great to hear that you found a workaround.
Meanwhile I'm also working on a 4k Monitor and I cant reproduce a scaling problem.

Hi Steve,
I dont even own the new CMO, so I can't tell for sure,
but as the file format hasn't changed it should work with the new release.

FYI, ScenView v1.0.5.40 works fine with CMO.

I have just downloaded and installed the utility.
Thank Lunex, it's really a very very useful tool helping to orient yourself in the dozens or hundreds of scenarios available!
Steve.

RE: [Tool] Command Scenario Browser - CMANO Scen View
-Steam App 321410 is for Command: Modern Air / Naval Operations (CMANO)
-Steam App 1076160 is for Command: Modern Operations (CMO)
On my computer with CMO installation, ScenView v1.0.5.40 worked for normal scenarios (\Steam\steamapps\common\Command - Modern Operations\Scenarios) but not Steam Workshop scenarios (\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1076160).
I have always been a fan of ScenView and hope that this information will be of some help to you.
