The older I get all my records are falling.
2013: Speeding in a construction zone. 40 in a 25. It was reflex going down that street for 45 years. Oooo! Slow down to late
She saw I was slowing. $80 ticket. When asked about the seat belt I admitted very rarely in town. Highway religiously. She
understood and waived the $20 seat belt violation. 19 year no ticket streak. Busted.
2016: Into the hospital for what they said was kidney failure. An over night stay to rehydrate the kidneys. I told the doc to
knock off with kidney failure crap. He asked well what should we call it? I said how about an undesirable kidney scenario. He
agreed. 34 year streak for a hospital stay. Busted.
2021: Surgery yesterday. Had some tumors in my bladder removed. 38 year no surgery streak. Busted!
However scored a pyrrhic victory. The Richland County maintenance shop in Hankinson destroyed by fire. The very building I fell
off 38 years ago. Karma. My old nemesis is gone.
