Bad gateway errors

Post by Courtenay »

I have been getting "Bad gateway" errors in some threads (Ronnie's AAR is one). It used to be that I could get rid of these by clearing my cache, deleting Matrix Games' cookies and restarting my browser. That isn't working. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can fix this problem?

Thank you.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

PM Erik Rutins ... that's what I did when there was an issue due to a server upgrade that didn't allow us to post in our on threads. He responded very quickly.

Also, do you get it if you use a different browser? I might try that first.

If I am logged in as "Guest", I don't get them. It is only when I am logged in as "Courtenay" that I do. I would much rather be logged in as Courtenay!

I got them continually using Firefox, so I switched to Chrome a while back. However, I am not getting them using Chrome.

(To post this message, I had to delete all my cookies and cache, log out, and log back in again. I was getting "Bad Gateway" before all that.)

Yeah, I think I used to get them back when I used IE. Switched to Chrome and I haven't seen them since.

This was one of my best typos ever. Where it says "not" in the above sentence, it should read "now". I am NOW getting bad gateway errors in Chrome.

This thread had a bad gateway error before I deleted all matrix games cookies.

I said that I have the gateway error when using Firefox, but not when using Chrome.
I should precise that I have the error when using Firefox on Linux OS (Ubuntu 18.04), but no issue on Windows OS [edit: even when using Firefox].

To sum-up, for me:
- Chromium (whatever OS) : ok
- Firefox on Windows : ok
- Firefox on Linux : ko

It seems the Bad gatewayy errors only happen (to me at least) when I open or try to open a thread from my mail, then all my following attempts to open the threas usually drive me to Bad gateway.

Beacuse of this I have had to delete all cookies (and had to search with patience my latest password) till I could load again. Now, I dont get it.

In case it can help someone or Matrix guys to see where lies the problem.

As you yourself said about server problems... I think nobody denies there is a problem. What many people think is that it is not relevant. But anyone is entitled to his own opinion, of course.

Pesky servers.
