Was this a thing before 1.07.05 or is it new?

Walkers and Automated defenses have been in the game as long as I have it. So at least half a year.
But they are both very lategame tech. Way past tanks and jet-aircraft.

I think the point is more that those automated turrets are robot operated, thus shouldn't suffer from lack of morale like biological units. Maybe their AI gained sentience and chose to live rather than sacrifice itself for the meatbags that built them.

The reason is they received a 'RETREAT' hit... which is interpreted as if they cannot retreat they surrender.

Best wishes,
Vic

Morale of robotics should be very high, but please tell me if it is not in your game.

Any chance you could turn the Retreat/surrender effect on robots/immobiles into something like a double-pinned effect isntead?
or maybe a outright kill?

They can physically not leave their position and if automatic they should have no survival instinct (so never surrender).
While the should suffer, these particualr results are kinda nonsensical for them.

I tend to agree. Adding this to the combat to-do list.
