HQ Supply Question

I was reading the Game Engine Changes for v1.08 and noticed a statement on HQ supply that may not be correct. Here's some quotes from the change description:

- HQ supply 3 or 4 will have a distribution supply value of 6.
- HQ supply 5 will have a distribution supply value of 8.
...
- HQ boosting can only be achieved if the first HQ has a supply value >=3.
- The HQ to be boosted must have a supply value <5 and is now automatically increased to a supply value of 5 which caps its distribution supply at 8.
...
- Low Supply HQ boosting can only be achieved if the source HQ has a supply value >=1 and <3.
- The HQ to be boosted must have a supply value <3 and is now automatically increased to a supply value of 5 which caps its distribution supply at 6.

Is the supply value of 5 for an HQ boosted from a low supply HQ a typo? Should it be a supply value of 3 or 4? Otherwise the distribution supply would be 8 not 6 for the boosted HQ.

This is correct and a special case where 5 then caps the distribution supply of 6 and not 8.

How do logistics research levels effect supply levels? I though I saw somewhere that it increase minimum supply in certain situations?

I believe that the distribution level of a full strength HQ can never fall below its Logistics Level

So the input level minimum = logistics research level or output = logistics research level?

It is as EarlyDoors mentioned, e.g. however the HQ distribution supply has been calculated, as shown above, if the final distribution supply is less than the current Logistics research level, then the distribution supply is bumped to the current Logistics level.
