Bug: Nationalist and Communists chinese sharing stacking

Post by Joseignacio »

They cannot stack together.

A question: I have my doubts about whether the ARTs and planes can be used indistinctly by both chinas because I see no Chom specific units of this kind, could someone confirm or discard this?

There is both a Communist and a Nationalist ART in the Force Pool. Nationalist units can only support Nationalist units and vice versa.

Can you post a gamesave for this bug? And do you have more info on how you could put those two units in that hex? I don't seem to be able to recreate this bug...

It happened in a moment not optimal for making saves, I may find one but today I tried and couldn't in like 20 mins..If I can find it I'll annex it later to a new post.

How it happened? In a certain moment I made a B result to a Chinese GARR, and it retreated through the communists. I found it doubtful to be legal but I let it pass. Afterwards my opponent (maybe in the next turn) just piled them up in a land move, and told me in case it was illegal, and this time I was sure it wan't legal.

The retreat was legal. Moving them into the same hex, not so much.

It is only when a unit ends its move or retreat that you check stacking and cooperation. Moving through is fine, even when the reason that the unit has to keep retreating is non-cooperation.
I thought I knew how to play this game....

Along the game IIRW, he stacked a nationalist coloured plane on communists land units. That's why I asked abouth ARTs and Planes.

I wonder if over-much use of the Undo feature led to this happening.

IDK because it was my opponent, but ... is there an "over-much use of the Undo feature"? [X(]

Yes. There is. Somehow if that button is used a lot, Netplay games tend to go out of sync and illegal things can happen. The problem with these bugs is that they can't be recreated, so it's very difficult for Steve to analyse things.
