Units caught by surrenders

Post by majpalmer »

When I conquered Poland, one of my divisions had strayed over the Ger-Sov demarcation line. I received a message that it had been removed and placed in the production queue. But it wasn't there. No big deal, only a single division.

But when France went Vichy, one of my Panzer Corps, with an attribute, was on the wrong side of that demarcation line. Same message, but it wasn't there either. This was a big deal. About a month of production points. Fortunately, I had a saved game I could go back to and move the division back a hex and preserve it.

Fluke? Bug? Anyone else see this? 1.09.

The message is incorrect. The units get put back to the closest hex you control.
If that doesn't happen it goes to the queue if I remember. It might get destroyed I have to check.

Just looked at the code.
Land is teleported and if it can't it is sent to the queue
Air is sent to the queue
Naval is retreated

Alvaro,

Is there a set timeframe for how long the units are in the queue?

Mine went in and don't come back for over 2 months...
Honestly caught me by surprise and I will end up losing Africa due to it but it is a game.

yea it doesn't get instantly teleported to the home country. It needs to move, then be transported or railed. There is negotiating with the country that is holding the unit.
