Well, as Pax says, maybe you'll find a good use for the Tony late! It will help you in 1943, and unlike the Frank it does have a SR of 1. That has some use, though probably not in the Home Islands. If you're playing DDB, then the Empire is WAY short of AV support.

Transports and surface fleet are still moving to Truk to gather the for invasion of Port Morsbey, Rabaul, and Noumea hopefully in that order unless something happens. Still no signs of my opponet's carrier's but Oklahoma heading towards the west coast I assume got torpedoed.

So I just realized like an idiot that the base I was trying to sweep out of was a level 1 airfield instead of two so a plane shuffle encored and now next turn my sweep's of Manilla should commence to break down his cap so bombing of the facility's can happen again. Also of some note last turn I spotted a task force and had my two CS's guarding Davao were ordered to leave. lucky for me because in the night phase the Allied taskforce engaged them nothing happened to my CS's just some minor damage but they got away while Davao was bombarded and the task force disappeared now on this turn I'm not sure if it's the same one but another task force is spotted near Ternate it show's 12 ships might be an a taskforce to retake Ternate not to sure a Surface taskforce will get order's to go down there to investigate next turn.

Kuching and Sinkawang invasion's are a couple of day's away from landing BB Haruna and Ca Takao with several dd's gaurd Kuching invasion then will transfer to Singkawang after these bases are taken Palembang invasion force just arrived in the area with 33rd div with a couple of base force. I say the invasion of Palembang should happen by the end of this month possibly early January at the latest incase something happen's and forces are needed else where

South Pacific

After some consideration I'm going todo wake invasion first to clear out my rear and kill what could become a nuisance later on to add on to this fact the 18th b-17's stationed from wake tried to bomb Kwajalein Zero's and Claude's came up and shot one of them down but the port facility's were slightly Damaged. My invasion forces are gathering at Truk as we speak one transport is a couple days away from arriving to Truk once wake is captured and the carrier's are sent free from that the invasions of major bases will happen in the South Pacific.

Sweep's over Manilla happened yesterday bagging my 5 p-40e's Today bombing of facility's happened at Manilla minor damage was cause but an ARD still in port took a major hit and will sink on the following turn. My bomber's now are switching to Clark Field to slow down fort construction and take away the supplies the allies need to survive.

Some major new from this front I had to share after almost 2 weeks of fighting Hong Kong finally fell units from there will Transfer to Darwin area for the invasion of North Australia. Also when I took the base it says it has almost 300k fuel in it but when I load track I gained not to much did fuel move there in the Supply phase from other bases? can anyone tell me?

The invasion of Kuching just made it to the port I forgot to set the task force to unload last turn so this turn they will unload once that commence the Singkawang invasion should happen 2 day's after word's and then hopefully a week after that the invasion of Palembang will happen. Sweeps over Palembang and Medan will happen tomorrow since recon reports fighter's at both bases. George town was just encircled Which mean all units between Singapore and George town are all encircled.

KB just arrived in the wake area bombing of the base has commenced damaging the airfield while destroying aircraft on the ground. KB did not launch any naval strike's today which were set hopefully next turn they will because at least 2 taskforce's of 4 ships one taskforce hold's 2 dd's while the other hold's 2 dm's bagging these will be nice since there was no Pearl all combat ships that can be sunk will help battle's to come.

Transports unloading troops at Manus were also harassed and several two cargo ships were bombed one minor damage while one sank the one sank was an XAL which can be easily replaced.

Supply is being unloaded in Davao protecting the convoy is BB's Nagato, and Ise since an allied cruiser taskforce is lurking in the area don't want to lose precious supplies and ships that are hard to replace.
The bombing of Clark field Commenced today but it seems my opponent is going to trying to defend both Manilla and Clark field looking at this he does have limited forces on the island shouldn't they be all on Bataan and Clark building up forts to slow down my conquest but why do I care the better for me since don't unit in Manila when pushed go to Batangas instead of Clark or is it a role chance to were they go?.

So the last few turns were quite uneventful except for the capture of Kuching and Singkawang and a couple of cargo ships and dd's sinking from my aircraft carrier's near by.

Wake was captured this turn from the Shock attack KB will go back down to Truk for refueling and 2 of my carrier's will split off to Babeldaob.

Philippines

The bombings of major base's still continue unit's just entered the hex of Manilla going to wait for more unit's before I decide anything.
Palembang invasion force is a couple of hex's outside of Palembang right now and lot's of bomber's went against me and were killed by cap from my carrier's. Rangoon was sweeped again this turn and atleast 30 ha81's and a 12 buffalos showed up and my Oscar were shoot down severally i'll put down sweep's until I can move zero's up there to help me.

December 24-27th

South Pacific

KB just arrived in port today as of now the one AKE there is Refilling torps on my carrier's. two of them were filled up and ready to go so cv's Zuikaku and Soryu guarded by CA's Furutaka, and Kako with 2 CL'S and several DD's will had to Babeldaob to support invasion's of Celbe's. Ambon, and south Borneo. One more day then my carrier's should be fully stocked up and ready to go Transport's will get a head start on them since they move much slower my next post today will show my land/sea power invading base's around Australia.

Some mistake's were made me not thinking moved 65TH bde into Manilla knowing there was a lot of unit's there and now i'm paying for it hopefully the unit can walk back out or is supported soon by unit's moving from the north and south.

Zero's were moved up to Bangkok and started to sweep Rangoon so far trade's are even but that will change as more zero's are freed up from Malaya. on the 24th the invasion of Palembang went without a hitch costal gun's fired but only did minimal damage to my ships the first wave consisted of 33rd Div. 2 special base force's the 25 Palembang was captured but at a high cost to the oil industry's 216 oil Damaged and 180 Refinery. Now the refinery doesn't matter but the oil really hurt's so with how damaged Miri is after the American bombing and this I will need to spend 386k supplies to repair the both of them it hurt's but since this is scenario to I do have supplies to spend on luxury's like this. now the second wave just landed in Palambang this consisted of 1 Bde and 2 RGT with a base force. Now the regiment will move north to capture the oil supplies there while the div and the Brigade will move south to kill the unit's in oosthaven.

Townville??? will be the very last one if I decide todo it this early but the 21st div is a couple day's from Truk and could land in Townsville while Noumea happens

Now after the conquest of these base's I'll have a couple of transport running around and taking the base's in the rear to secure my flanks but the 4th div with the 144th Brigade if I haven't already invaded Townsville by this point will support the 21st in the invasion of Australia Proper
I'm not to sure I want to move in the Guard's mixed brigade right away since it could leave Noumea open for counter attack and that could be very bad for me

Invasion of North Australia

This won't happen for a while maybe a month but so far I have at least the 38th Div with lot of ART/ENG supporting it once more unit's are relived and there's not a ton of enemy's behind me Darwin will be ripe for the taken.
But after Darwin and base's around if fall Perth will be the last Major invasion to undertake in Australia it will officially cut off any help from the outside world and will isolate the Aussies for a while.








Now guys here some consideration is it worth trying to take all of Aussie so I can try to win in 42 any thought's on this?

With December almost over here's the major achievements the IJA and IJN have Achieved

Conquest's

The conquest of Borneo was a supported effort by Japanese Naval and Army command,

Sumatra invasion was also another achievement of the glorious coordination between the two command's,

The landing of Luzon was an achievements but it was a bloody one plenty of plane's from both command's were shoot down while an Brigade retreated out of Manilla causing massive losses. While Mindanao was a calm invasion at first not enough supply was drawn but the IJN came in and saved the combined force's of the naval and army troops on the ground.

The Naval invasion of Malaya which saw 1000's of troops land on Mersing, Kuantan, Kota Bharu and plenty of more while also the almost the complete conquest of Malaya as well George town Surrounded then the mass surrender of allied troops in the hex Several Brigade's moved into Singapore and just started the Siege of the last Strong hold in Malaya and the Capturing of Tavoy.

South Pacific is slow thus far we have a late capture of Wake which bagged me a couple of his b-17's most of Northeast New Guinea captured, with Kavieng and Manus and Buin in that area as well. the islands of Nauru, Ocean, Makin and Tarawa as well captured

Celebes area hasn't bin touched to much but with the capture of Ternate and Talaud early give's the IJN and IJA airbase's to see naval and air power in the area.

Ships sunk

The IJN has made me proud with the sinking of BC Repulse several CL's, several DD's, 19 Civilian Transport's, 10 Subs, 60 or more cargo ships and last but not least 14 tanker's Thus far the sunken tanker's are the most successful since around 11 of them held 6k or more fuel capacity

Now for what I've lost thus far
The CA Atago and CL Jintsu, 4 valuable troop transport's, 24 cargo ships of various sizes, 3 AMC's, and 2 Sub's

The first month has bin bloody to say so with both side having around 450 losses together hundreds of pilot's have died on both side's with mine at 97 MIA, 41 WIA, and 201 KIA it's bin a hard month for the air force losing 200 experienced/non experienced pilot's while come haunt me in the year's to come.

South Pacific

Invasion force's are moving Rabaul's invasion will land tomorrow with Port Morsbey a few day's after that. Noumea's invasion force is just leaving Truk today and will move closer to Rabaul to get ready for surface ship's to escort them down to New Caledonia.

Philippines

65th Brigade was forced to retreat out of Manilla taking horrendous casualties leaving them at 60 toe This unit will sit around and regather it's strength before it make's the march on Manilla again enforce this time. Unit's have now officially reached the hex south and north of Manilla tomorrow a coordinated effort from both side's will lead them to march on Manila leaving behind the 65th Brigade in the north to cover the flank incase the American's want to try and encircle me.

with Palembang captured support unit's from Thailand are moving to Sumatra so air unit's can move to start the bombing of facility's in Java for the invasion to come there soon. Singapore Sieged started yesterday with 4 regiment's and 4 ART regiment's moving into the hex more unit's are behind them I just wanted the industry to stop producing and hopefully stop the evacuation of troops from the peninsula.

The 31st Say the invasion of Rabaul while today saw the capture of Rabaul with this swift victory and after some consideration I've decided to change my plan's a tiny bit. After reading some AAR's and looking at it I realized to conquer New Caledonia I also need to Conquer Fiji. So now the 21ST Div in conjunction with the 144th Rgt will now invade Fiji around the same time Noumea is being invaded.
Port Morsbey's invasion is one hex outside of the port tomorrow they will land I anticipate around 1 maybe 2 brigade's there. The KB found some juicy convoy running through the Coral sea sinking lot's of valuable warship's and cargo ships

Quick update of January 2nd-4th

SRA

KB 1 start moving towards Noumea to catch any shipping and clear a path for my invasion force. After some thinking I need to try and be more careful with my carriers in some previous allied game's against my previous opponent I tried to force battle one to many time's and lost carrier's because of it now I might just lose my carrier's since the Americans should have 4 CV's now Yorktown which either should be arriving at Pearl by now or on it's way to Pago Pago thinking on this Zuikaku will head back to the main KB to shore up it's aircraft number's to make sure it's not a blood bath if he force's battle.

With Zuikaku leaving the operational area back to the South Pacific this leave's me with Soryu, Taiyo which has minor damage after the recent engagment, Ryujo,Zuiho, and Hosho plus my 3 CS. Mini KB will randevou with Soryu and Taiyo to create air threat for this area. After the Minando force was not scattered but harresed BB's went one tile outside of Minado trying to find any ships leaving the area and so they did several night engagment's happened where my bb taskforce sank several ships then later that day KB 2's aircraft came forth and sank more of the ships Finally results are the CL's Java, Concord, and De Ruyter confirmed dead with 5 dd's as well more ships might have sank but I'm not to sure. But with these dead the SRA surface taskforce's are much reduced which should help speed up my conquest with less ships to worry about

5TH nothing much happened this day some air battle's and what not but the 6th wasn't much different but the KB saw a small American taskforce and pilots on all the ships went to there aircraft to fly off to see what they can sink sadly it was not much 3 American DD's were near Luganvillie at a bad time and were badly damaged

Now on the 7th the Japanese commander of a naval taskforce invading an Atoll to set up a seaplane base was prudent and decided to stay a day longer thinking the threat to the task force was other with sadly it was not since in the morning phase the same DD's that were hit by airpower now showed up and sank 3 out of 5 cargo ships the last two will retreat back to Truk

Japanese carrier's will make sure to dispatch the rest of the DD's while trying to refuel then make a dash for Pago Pago to see if any interesting warships sit in harbor over there.
Every day a new island is invaded in the coral sea Port Moresby under Siege with 144th RGt being diverted there to help push off the defender's. Efate was invaded this turn same with Noume when the base is conquered the Japanese air force will move down in strength to lengthen American supply line down to Australia and Japanese support ship's with fuel and other thing's will move to the base so Japanese war ships won't need to make the long track up to Truk or Rabaul

After this bad it starts to sink in that my transport fleet and merchant fleet have taken a beating in the last month of this war with me losing 35 cargo ships of various sizes and 8 civilian transports of various sizes. Now the 35 cargo ships won't hurt since I have 815 out of 1509 still coming in but the transport do hurt since I only get 69 total with 8 already lost.
8th saw my carrier flank speed to get back to Noumea I was hoping my opponent would be greedy and stay another day so I disbanded my taskforce in port and made another taskforce with damaged cargo and combat ships to soak up an air raid but sadly my opponent fled and Nell and Betty bomber's moved into the base after it was conquered did not catch which direction my opponent went to.
Now this was my dilemma did he go to Pago Pago, Sydney, or Auckland I waded my choices last time KB was sighted it looked like it was heading towards Pago Pago so I decided not to go there so NZ or Aussie hmm. He flanked speed out of there with doing that I decided he went to Auckland incase he didn't ships near Rabaul will retire to Truk on the 10th and make sure there's no target in the area for him to destroy.

Today was a sad day in China While Unit's tried to encircle Loyang unit's were in the hex trying to stop the enemy from leaving well I put way less troops there then was needed and was punished today the troops in the was were attacked three day in a row and held but today they retreated causing massive casualties to the troops.

After the port was bombed I noticed ship sitting in Auckland did my plane fly out against the port and completely miss the carrier was this another midway but it was not. Later in the day finally an airstrike goes out against this taskforce to find the CA Pensacola, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Australia, with cl Achilles and Leander after 3 different airstrike most of the ships were damaged but none were sunk intel claims the Louisville sunk after the battle.

After combat report's I wayed my options on which way the Allies would go if they went to Australia I could be trapped by airstrike going against this taskforce while American carrier's come at me and possibly sink my carrier's so the KB went further south hoping the Taskforce would head for south NZ but alas they didn't and my carrier's did nothing that turn. After that pitiful combat report my carrier started to head back to Noumea with no Torps on board now battling against American carrier's possibly rearmed and refueled seemed like a way to lose ships. AKE's and Cargo ships carrying fuel and supplies are heading for Noumea this will take about a week maybe longer.

As most of Malaya is secured the Japanese look on to the last bastion in Malaya, Singapore. on the 12 the first attack went in and reduced the fort then they rested for a day and went on the attack again and reduced the fort to zero after another day's of rest I hope they surrender soon for the Conquest of Burma can continue. After 11th disaster of 9 Betty's getting shot down sweep's went over Batavia and Soerabaja and my zero's sweep away what cap was there for minimal losses

Manado will be landed on again tomorrow now with a BB taskforce guarding them this time hopefully no ship will try and attack them. Soryu spearhead this invasion covering the southern flank by going past Kendari running into a cargo taskforce and damaging them not to sure if anything sunk. Ryuju, Zuiho, and Hosho cover the norther flank Running through the Makassar Strait seeing if I can find any taskforce's so far none Soryu will meet up with this taskforce in Java sea and bomb pot along Java coast and head back to Cam Ranh for refueling them spear heading the assault on Java hopefully by the end of this month begging of next month.
