Axis ending

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Axis ending

Post by Cameraeye »

Does the game still end if the Axis drops a paratrooper on London when he controls Paris, Moscow, Leningrad, Stalingrad and Cairo? Last time I tried this it didn't work.

No, the Axis will need to have control of all the hexes around London too.

Wow, I thought that change got undone a long time ago. Late in the game, with the UK packed with troops, it is probably impossible, and you will wreck the Luftwaffe trying.

If your aim is decisive victory as Axis, it may make an early Sealion a must, as London will be much easier to take in 1940 then it will be in 1943 or later, after the Soviets are broken. It creates a situation where if you don't take London in 1940 or early 41, you are basically playing for 1947.

I think the only reason this hasn't come up is that almost all games are decided by resignation. That may change...

How about playing for this ending (DE 310)?
