RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
So this is a small update for January 15th I'll go into it more detail tonight but today January 15th in the Bass Strait submarine I-18 was on it's normal patrol mission when it say a carrier Taskforce it dashed for it broke through it's defensive screen then shoot it torpedo's 8 were shot the Saratoga was hit once the sub went beneath the wave after this attack.
Later that same day I-18 after successfully damaging an American carrier saw another one now it wasn't to sure if it was the same one or not but nonetheless it went after it again the sub penetrants it escort to fire off another 8 torpedo's at a diffrent cv Enterprise this time hitting it once with this great victory for I-18 It will be sent home to Tokyo for medal of honors for the crew for putting out two American carrier's in one day.

January 15th-17th
South Pacific
After the amazing day my sub had in the straight it's heading back up to rearm and refuel this sub will most likely go home to Tokyo for the crew can be praised by the Japanese public. Now with this development and most likely both carriers now either sitting in Melbourne fixing some minor float damage then moving on to Cape town or just straight heading to Cape town KB is going to try an attack on Melbourne and see if his carrier's are there or not if they are then in the next few turns we might see the American carrier fleet reduced to almost nothing here soon.
Transport are moving to gather up the div from Port Moresby and then we have the 21st div Once my AKE's arrive and a Cargo taskforce filled with fuel and supplies get to Noumea the Invasion of Fiji will commence I highly anticipate at least a couple American squadrons, support units, and a few Marine regiments here by now so this base will be a bitch to take but it will fall none the less.
Philippines
So a division was bought out of Korea and is heading here to help clear out Manilla once that done this div will then get back on transports and prepare for the invasion of north Australia or Perth haven't Decided if I want to do both at once or Perth then Darwin not to sure yet will have to think on this.
SRA
Singapore is being a nasty base to take after several almost a week of attacking the base still holds out this time I'll give it at least 2 to 3 days while I wait for another Engineer and regiment to move into the hex and let me unit's rest here. Java will be invaded soon as well unit's are starting to gather back at Palembang and other base I want Java Invaded early next month at the latest so I can use these troops for operations in India. Tarakan was invaded so far the my unit have not bin able to rout out the unit's in this hex but they should soon. while on this note Balikpapan will be invaded within the next few day's the 5th Amphibious unit will land there guarded by BB's.
MKB is going on a rampage right now sitting them in the route between Java and Perth and Java and Darwin sinking another 3 tanker's with an ARD from Java being hit.
Then the bad new's of from these day CA Suzuya was hit by a mine in Merak taking it to 53 Float and 27 Sys then CL Kuma then was hit by a Dutch Torp taking 25 sys and 22 float the CL will repair in Saigon while the CA repairs the minor damage and heads for Hong Kong to repair the rest of the major damage.
Indian/Burma
Haven't touched this front yes since it yet to remain active but unit's are building up in the area Support unit's are heading for Chiang Mai to build the airbase for bombing and recon effort's while 15th guard regiment and 1st RTA div sit outside Moulmein to walk in there soon then Plan for Indian as a whole I'm thinking of going for a Ceylon invasion if The American carriers are either confirmed dead or put out of action for long enough time.
Ceylon invasion would but take out the regions major repair ship yard meaning Ship will have to make the long track to Cape town for repairs also Prince of wales could be in Colombo as we speak I'm not to sure on this it most likely went there to repair enough to head to Cape town so if that's the case I can't do anything about it but if it didn't??? well this is just an idea it all depends on how my Australia campaign goes an whether or not I want to Extend up here.

Victory or Disaster
So on my way to Melbourne to see if American carriers are over there well they were on there way to NZ it looks like carrier battle was fought I got first strike Enterprise took 7 bomb hits 2 bomb on Saratoga and 11 and the Lexington now the two of these ships were hit by torps a few days ago so Enterprise will sink hopefully maybe with Lexington as well but it didn't go great for me a counter strike happened first strike went in Kaga had 6 bomb hits and a torp hit Shokaku 5 bomb hit's, Hiryu 4 bomb hit's and Akagi 3 bomb hit's next strike came in with no escort and was decimated by my cap then the next strike came in and my cap was tried and the Hiryu got hit by two Torps and was sunk outright. as of now Shokaku has 29/8/14/11 and Akagi 44/4/4/2 Kaga has a 95 percent chance of sinking it has 59/40/40/82 so as of now 2 carrier are sunk since I believe Kaga has no chance of making it to Noumea and of course Zuikaku was one day from merging in with the main KB ugh this sucks but if Enterprise and Lex its going to be hard now with 2 less carriers and some of mine needing dry dock for a while.

RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
so looking at track and turn 45 I did gain 73 VP and looking at other parts of the VP gain all I can think is at least one maybe two carriers sunk now aircraft won't match since were only like 8 hex away from Tasmania and flights could have be redirected over there

RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
Given Allied damage control can pull of some miracles i would suggest continue the chase. However you gotta be carefull to not get engaged by surface combat , create couple surface task forces with lower task force number than Carrier task force and order them to follow the carrier task force with 1 reaction range , absolute threat tolerance and try to make those task forces with the most agressive ship captain so they engage and dont give up.
If you can finish off all 3 this will gain you time untill Essex's start arriving and if your opponent tries an early amphibious oepration you can punish him with land based air and remnants of KB. Also try to accelarate the Unryu class CV's to fill the gap

yes most of late 43/44 carries are accelerated at this point with the Kayio 13 Dec 42, Shinyo 15 Dec 42, Taiho 22 Jan 43, Unryu 08 Apr 43, Amagi 11 Apr 43, Katsuragi 13 May 43 then later on when I have more point available Shinano will get accelerated as well with the 45 carrier'sORIGINAL: Evoken

South Pacific
AS my post state's earlier we had a carrier battle from the look's of vp gain/lost I would say at least one carrier is sunk if I had to guess possibly the Enterprise since it was hit by a torp a few day's early and was not on pier side or dry dock long enough to repair any minor or major damage done the next best sunk would have to be the Lexington. because after watching the combat report again most Bombs were penetrating bomb only a few hit the side armor. But looking at what I have and reading what Evoken had to say I'll give chase hopefully this pay off and if I get first attack again I will sink what's left of his taskforce and leave.
Now what does this mean for the rest of the operations in South Pacific well I'm not sure with now only 3 carrier's down here and the rest in SRA it will be difficult I need to be careful of what operation carrier's my opponent will have left if these 3 sink that just leave's him with Yorktown and Hermes and I believe he has Indomitable by this point as well with Hermes possibly still in dry dock and Indomitable just arriving in Indian ocean the only operational carrier allies have in the South Pacific will be Yorktown now that does not leave me much breathing space Yorktown is still a formidable ship to deal with even though it will be a two to one odd it could still sink another one of my carrier's so I'll need to trad more lightly down here. Now with Shokaku and Akagi needing repair's MKB will immediately leave SRA and head for Truk as soon as possible any notion of an invasion of Ceylon or India proper will hold off until my Australian Ventrues are done. Shokaku and Akagi with Zuikaku will stay in the area chase the remnants of the American fleet and then will go rearm and refuel at Noumea and I'll see about what an invasion of Fiji or Townsville will look like.
SRA
While the South Pacific is having battle's that could decide the fait of the war. The conquest of the DEI and Malaya is going great with North Celebes all but invaded and unit's preparing for the invasion of Kendari this island won't last another month. Borneo is also on it last leg's Tarakan was taken and Balikpapan invaded it's only a matter of time before the whole island is mine with only few base's left to the Dutch. At this point Sumatra is completely mine Sibolga and Padang are the only built up bases left on the proper these will be amphibious invaded at some point to get rid of them. Java invasion should happen within the next 2 week transport are going to pick up the 33rd div from Benkoelen with Transports already at Medan and Palembang to pick up the RGT that are there once Balikpapan falls the 5th Amph Brigade will also help with the invasion of Java to.

You can still take SRA by combining KB and MKB maybe supported by Land based air at some points but should be achiveable with ease
RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
Now here's what Australia hold in the begging of the game.
now if I believe correctly he can't combined force together while under Australian command tell me if I'm wrong or not.
Allied troop combisition
at the start he has 5 broken up div's in Australian proper but these are all low xp low morale unit's with militia at the start now if they combine together they'll still be low xp but with some what better squad's. with atleast 9-11 cav/arm RGT or BN these are also have improv equipment with low xp and low morale. then we have lots of BN scattered around the island with a few mixed in Brigade's here and there I would say this would be the equivalent of at least 1 tank Div and 6 or 7 infantry div's. but with Reinforcement's I'm not to sure any have made it from American yet since KB bin in the area for at least 50 percent of the game but through Perth I could see the 18th div being brought in with possible Indian brigade as well.
Japanese troop composition
In the area I have the Guards Brigade, 21st Div, 4th Div, 144th Rgt, with 10 Naval guard unit's/SNFL unit's this could get a landing going but it won't make break through. with that 20th div with most of the Art and Eng units from Singapore will be rerouted to Townsville invasion from Darwin invasion with 55 fragment's after Sigapore is taken heading down there and 2 more naval guard unit's that spawn in Tokyo as well that will bring me to the equivalent of at least 6-7 div's.
With 20th div already planning on invading Perth with possibly another one and at least one or two for Darwin Australia will have the equivalent of 11 div's in the area hopefully by the end of March.
With two carrier's down my only hope could be an auto victory now me and my opponent haven't talked about what we will do if auto victory does happen so that still up in the air but if we do continue on will taking all of Australia be worth it he will get everything I show in the picture below which can be used in operation in India or else where but it will mean he has to either go around Australia or invade it which will take time since it take out a major forward supply base in the region and invading it will be a pain for him since it such a Hugh country to take back and I can sit in Sydney or Melbourne and make my stand there since the other major base's are Clear terrain

RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
Some Minor update for the war so the day after the first carrier battle no surface engagement's or sorties happened but on the next day the Americans set CA Portland, Northampton, Chester, plus numerus DD's to engage me on my side Ca Chikuma and cl Abukuma were able to stop the task force to engage me CVs and then the American task force chased my taskforce for several hex's wasting up there ammo and allowing my carrier's to strike them plus Even though there were several task force's on the map for my carrier's to engage they still launched a sortie against the Lexington now it didn't sink in the battle but with the allied operation losses of 96 aircraft and most of them carrier bomber and fighter Lexington is presumed sunk with at least Enterprise as well leaving just Saratoga my 3 remaining carrier's will chase the rements of this fleet and then retreat to safer waters.

RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
Great comeback , well done!
RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
yep now if I can sink Saratoga and then the remaining escort taskforce that should help with the invasions to come.ORIGINAL: Evoken
Great comeback , well done!
RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
another mini update next turn carrier Saratoga was not found KB running on with no torps and damaged will retire back to Noumea. Now my opponent instead of heading through NZ area will most likely head to Perth then to Cape town to west coast so Saratoga will most likely live
RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
over all result at least 2 American carrier's dead with one damaged plus the losses of several CA's and DD's.
for Japanese losses of 2 CV's 1 CA and 1 DD so in terms of destroyed I came out on top since total deck space for America is more but in the end it will be a strategic victory for the Americans since Saratoga survived and KB can't continue the chase with the lose of 1/3 of the KB I'll have to tred more lightly.

RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
January 21-25 today was a fast day for turn's
South Pacific
Well as said early KB retiring to Noumea looking over my carrier's though all of it is minor damage if I get enough naval support in a base with a big port they might not have to make the long haul to Japan.
SRA
After many day's of attacking Singapore was taken lucky the no industry was damaged except for the repair ship yard which might have bin from the bombing of the first day's of war.
Balikpapan is captured with the oil base above it. The base above it had 23 oil damaged which sucks but what can I do.
Kendari will be invaded in a few day's cutting off escape for ships to Darwin if there are any left in Java MKB is now on it's way to Truk with Java the only major naval asset left in the SRA and having powerful LBA MKB can be afforded to go to South Pacific to strength the KB.
Now the last Major island left is Java which will be invaded hopefully in 7 to 10 day's

RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
Since you are ahead of Schedule at SRA i would recommend either going around Burma and landing at India or landing at Pegu to bypass his defenses
RE: Deaniks (J) vs Runnersan (A)
Well Moulomein only has 2k troops in it same with Pegu 2 regiments could have blown through them a month ago but I wanted to make sure I had back up incase a disaster happens
