Allied have lost 23 submarines to date, all of them Nov 43 or later. I think historically USN lost 52 subs in Pacific during war, so this rate I'll be close...

IJN has lost 12 submarines.

This shows how overpowered E-class ships are, since most of those 23 were lost to them.

How in the world did you manage to do 12 or 13 continuous shock attacks at Hong Kong? Were you rotating units? Leaving some in reserve mode?
Given the poor replacement rate for British squads I think the shock attacks were too costly, but I don't know the full situation there.
