HB (Allies) vs MM (Axis) No MM for now.

SEPT 13, 1940

Mixed Results in the BOA. I lose another 12 MS and an escort to MM's 6 U-Boats and main Battle Fleet. But this time it is my carrier that finds his fleet and sinks a CA. His fleet was in a "Very Low" reconnaissance hex this time; so either I got very lucky or the odds of finding large fleets has been greatly increased (as it should be).

MM's Yugoslavia invasion is launched on the same turn that mine was in our mirror game. So he also must capture Belgrade next turn or risk bad weather.

The UK builds an escort. Rain in Iraq delays my planned invasion.

SEPT 27, 1940

MM executes a better invasion of Yugoslavia than me and captures Belgrade easily.

The German fleet slinks to port licking its wounds; but another 8 MS and an escort are sunk by U-Boats. I do manage to get 3 U-Boat hits in return. The Axis air force is moving East, so I don't think there will be a 41 Sealion. Canada builds an escort.

OCT 11, 1940

A quieter turn in the Atlantic as only 3 MS are sunk and the Kriegsmarine flees back to the German port of Stettin. MM also moves a U-Boat into almost the exact same spot where he sunk mine in our mirror game. But the difference is that my air attacks don't find him.

Baghdad falls and Iraq surrenders. Generally at this point I would send my mechanized unit onto Persia to conquer it. But I am concerned that this would result in the oil shipped to the UK supplanting the resources that I need more since I soon may not have enough MS to carry it all. Does anyone know which receives priority if there are not enough MS, oil or resources?

I noticed that MM had an air unit sitting on the coast of Italy that was not protected by a land unit. So I raided with my Malta division. I expected that the air unit would do some damage to my unit with an air strike as I landed; but to my surprise it failed to do any damage. How is that even possible? In any event, I overran the air unit and hope to make my escape next turn.

Tech Advances. Now I am worried about the slow progress of the Russian Heavy armour tech.

The Build Queues. As can be seen the UK and USA are concentrating on naval builds only. To do otherwise, imho, would be suicide.

OCT 25, 1940

Quiet turn. All U-Boats are in port (in Germany surprisingly) so no MS sunk. I think MM is taking my Italian incursion seriously. Time to get out of Dodge.

NOV 8, 1940

2 MS sunk. The UK builds 10 MS and 10 LS (which until now I have been calling LCs as I though they were called Landing Craft). Canada builds an escort.

NOV 22, 1940

6 MS sunk by 2 groups of 3 U-Boats. The UK builds 40 LS and an escort.

DEC 6, 1940

8 MS sunk, but I do score 5 U-Boat hits. The UK builds an MS and 10 Supply Trucks. Canada Builds and escort. Russia builds its last corps. From now until Barbarossa all production will be spent on replacements, upgrades and supply trucks.

DEC 20, 1940

6 more MS sunk against 6 U-Boat hits. I will take that exchange. The UK builds a MS and 10 supply trucks.

JAN 3, 1941

3 MS and an escort are sunk with only 1 U-Boat hit. The British advance towards the Egypt/Libya border. The UK builds 20 supply trucks, Canada builds an escort, Russia builds 20 supply trucks.

JAN 17, 1941

The BOA turns in my favour in this game as well as 5 MS are sunk but my escorts score 7 hits on MM's U-Boats. Emboldened by my success, I decide to save some British production this turn and instead of building another 10 MS instead build only 10 supply trucks.

Meanwhile, in Libya the Axis appear to be running away. Good for the British, not so good for the Russians. I think I can expect an "All In" Barbarossa. If you are wondering why my British are so strung out along the coastal road; lets just say that playing ComradejaKorps has made me paranoid of invasions.

I was hoping that we would be continuing this game once MM got settled; but the game has disappeared from from my "multiplayer" screen. I am not sure if that is because MM resigned or because it timed out because it has been about 28 days since MM played a turn.
