Finland and operation Platinfuchs

Post by sven6345789 »

guess it has been posted here before, but i cannot find it.

1) How far north does the map go?
2) How do you simulate the difficulties of fighting in the Tundra?
3) Do the Finns have special rules ( maximum expansion) ?

1) The Map goes all the way north to the Barents Sea.
2) Tundra is a specific terrain type.
3) No - but for all the full map campaigns the fighting in the north is within the Finland / Northern Theatre Boxes. There is a chance if you capture Leningrad of a few Finnish counters appearing on the map.

...it is quite possible to create a Platinfuchs scenario or a full map scenario for two humans with Finland on the map. We haven't done so because we need the AI to help us balance the game (and all official scenarios need AI play for customers who only play the computer).

The effort to teach the AI to operate in areas with very few counters would detract from improvements in other areas of the game that are more important.

Is there a chance that you will add Finland campaign as a DLC ?

Might be possible as user-made scenario.
