42/7/25: as john said, "boring". Japs drive the game tempo. I am sure he is tooling up for another offensive somewhere. Jpeg comment on regrowth is wrong. Jap IJA may be full strength in 30 days.

As said above...

BORING!!

We are at an unfortunate Operational pause for the moment. The Great EMU Hunt continues but develops slowly...

I really want to go up into NE Australia and kick some ground combat Jap ass. But another part of my mind keeps saying "it is a trap, it is a trap" over and over.

Easy Peasy. Just let the water freeze solid, it may be slippery but it can be walked on.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Hmmm - the animation shows a 'float fighter destroyed" but none is listed in the combat report you posted. Is that typical FOW?

Australia
As one can see from some of the above screenshots, The AF issues in Australia are being dealt with. Cairns and Tennant Creek are now fully operational and Portland Roads is building fast. Time to play with Allied Airpower! Let us GO!

Changsha
Changsha is about to go DOWN! My noble opponent has pulled the engineers and several Corps out by retreating into the hex NW of Changsha where my two ID wait. Both groups of retreating Chinese have been crushed and booted right into the town NW of that hex. We are done with enemy troops retreating and want the surrender. We'll see how long that takes.

Newest Addition
Just got my first major addition to the Kaigun's OOB. There is no Taiho, Shinano, or any Unryu's here. Japan builds a second pair of Shokaku-Class CVs and then two pairs of a slightly improved Shokaku-Class the Shokaku-Kai. Here is the newest addition to the fleet: IJN Kaigun (the 3rd Shokaku). This big BAD BOY is ready to rumble.

Where would you like to her to appear first BigRed??!! [:D]

Evidently I need to make the turns MORE exciting because Paul told me he has been falling asleep during the Combat Replays. That is TOO bad. Guess I'll have to liven them up some...

Is this the DAM BREAKING?

The Japanese Army has been steadily reducing Changsha, however, Henyang has remained Chinese. Two full strength IJA ID arrive and launch an assault after nearly 150 bombers cause nearly 600 Chinese casualties. To Japan's surprise the city surrenders on the first attack. The results are 5-1 with Japan taking 382 Cas to China's 28,066 (2212 Squads), 142 Guns, and 5 Vehicles.

WOW! OK. Time widen the breach.

BANZAI!
