If Kavieng has a garrison, especially a CD unit, it might be worthwhile to land at the dot base at the other end of the island and march up to Kavieng.

BTW, I am amazed at the number of "E's" the IJN has at this stage. You have been torpedoing and bombing a goodly number of them but they still seem plentiful. No wonder Allied players complain about them!

If I remember correctly, some of the DMs and TBs convert to "E" class vessels. Others start out without depth charges.

I got peeved with Super-Es, so edited their number of L and R side DC throwers from 3 to 2. That seems to, so far, give more realistic results.

I am hoping to wrap this game up with Autovictory before Jan 1 1945, when the game ends for sure, having way more that 2-1 VP ratio.

Just trying to get that 3-1 in 1944, in which effort Shanghai is the vital base to capture. Can also go for Rabaul too if Shanghai is not enough...have multiple divisions etc. prepped for that base too.

Seems that 3-1 in 1944 might be beyond grasp, would need to get places like Saipan, Tinian etc. too.

But, I went for easier SE Asia land strategy, so be it.
