AT Guns and Shock in Sidi Rezegh Scenario

Post by canuckgamer »

In the Sidi Rezegh scenario, there is one German heavy AT gun unit and two Italian heavy AT gun units. I assume these represent the 88 and find it surprising that the Italians have more. They are 2:E and in addition to having a shock value of 2 when attacking it also states "Shock value equal to attacker when defending". Does this mean that if Commonwealth units in an attack have a net shock of 4 that if one of these heavy AT guns is defending it negates the 4 shock of the attackers?

Another question. If a stack with two 0:2E AT guns is being attacked by enemy units with a net shock of 4 do the two AT guns offset the 4 shock?

Hi, the Shock used is the max shock of a unit, so two or three 0:2Es will still give you a max of 2 defensive Shock.

And yes, the Heavy AT guns totally negate the Attackers Shock, so they can make a big difference!
Cheers,
Brian
