Questions from the Manual: Supply Truck usage

Very informative manual, I played WITW extensively so a lot appears familiar.

Some questions:

From 4.10.9

"However, a depot will also try to use trucks to obtain freight and in doing so may reduce the number of vehicles available both for transferring supply to combat formations and moving those formations."

Would be nice to know for which priority settings this applies. Priority 4 is the obvious case but what about 3?

Further, I didn't notice it in the manual but wasn't it once mentioned that the priority of the depot also determines how many trucks are allocated to it? Must the depot truck allocation also be imported via freight?

4.10.12

"Equally, a HQ at a high priority will divert trucks from unit movement to obtain the needed freight."

Again, does this also apply to priority 3?

worth remembering, Ch4 is designed to give an overview of the game, the big systems etc. There is far more detail in the remaining 420 pages [;)]

The answer to both of your questions really is --- 'it depends'. Its a dynamic system and what works on one part of the map with one set of logistics infrastructure won't another.

Have a wee glance at the AARs, that'll give you some insights to what it means in practice
