UI/Manual Improvements

Post by Bamilus »

I just want to say thank you to the devs and Matrix for the UI and manual improvements. The direction of many Matrix releases have been trending toward this for awhile, but the manual previews and UI from XTRG's gameplay are incredible. I think there's often a low premium placed on those things, but especially in a game of this magnitude it goes a huge way from the making the game unplayable (to many people) to actually playable.

Not trying to be a suck-up; I've been very critical of other games before, especially monster ones. But I appreciate the focus on attention on making easy to read manuals (the tip boxes and examples are especially appreciated) and modern UI enhancements along with automation options to allow players to choose the level of detail they wish to dive into.

Agree 110%. The WiTE manual compares to the WiTE2 manual the way the Panzer I compared to the Panzer VI. They were both tanks, undoubtedly, but the latter put the former to shame.

My initial impression is that WiTE2 is a monumental leap forward on every level -- it puts 2by3 Games on the absolute cutting edge of monster-sized wargames.

The Wehrmacht that set out to conquer Russia in 1941 was a poor army with strictly limited resources.

Agreed.

I was critical of WitE at times, but I must thank the developers for listening and improving the game tremendously!

It looks absolutely amazing.
