Australia and counter invasion forces

Post by morejeffs »

Where are the lines the lines that if Japan crosses the Aussies get the emergency units.. And what do they get? Thanks

Search for emergency reinforcements with the author Bullwinkle.

This one is correct as far as I can see. In AI games all emergency units arrive on map into the national bases

Is that a recent change? I have had the Australian emergency reinforcements triggered and some of them showed up in Cape Town and Aden.

The link has a table with the reinforcements and where they arrive.

But Bullwinkle did a lot of testing and he went through more than testing for just Australia.

You mean my remark about AI games? I meant AI units only. It is pretty hard to imagine AI drive human player over the emergency lines

I do believe that when the AI gets certain reinforcements, they actually would show up at Karachi instead of Aden since the AI can't handle getting said reinforcements onto the map properly.

It is slightly more complex that that.
1) AI land units always show up on-map. But airgroups can arrive off-map, I have AI Aden full of British air.
2) AI land units arrive to on-map national capital bases. If those are unavailable they arrive to the next available nation base with port present and airfield+port>=5. And if those are unavailable they arrive to San Francisco. E.g. in my latest beta AI game as Japan I have POW camps for entire Allied nations - British/Indian in Chittagong, Chinese in Fuchow, Australian in Milne Bay, Commonwealth in Trincomali. Some of the non-US emergency reinforcements arrived to SF directly no matter their nations bases availability (to my dismay because I've yet to assault SF)

As I stated, it concerns all land units. And availability of Karachi
