Playable alien forces and races

Is it a plan that players will be able to play as alien forces or alien races in the near future? Thanks!

Near future, not a chance - consider everything that would need to be changed for them to not only play as weirdly looking humans !

Vic once made a poll. But alien Sentients were not out back then, so the question never came up.

I do not think it likely, in the close or longterm. Currently all non-humans operate as "minors without a city". Matching their mechanics to how a human major plays would be a lot of work. Maybe after we get native major players - if that ever happens - we can consider it.
