You can buy a stand-alone DVD drive for about $30.

Edit: Should have mentioned - your DVD will have a registration number on it. You should be able to log into the Matrix download site, register yourself and then download the game electronically. Then download the latest patch and/or the Beta if you want that. Run the game install first, then the patch/Beta. The Beta is available on this forum in the stickied area of the Tech section.

You could also use your PC to copy the install files to a usb drive and use that.

Use a USB to USB cable to load the files and any other files that you want to the new computer. Or a crossover CAT 5 cable if you have one and the computers are so equipped.

a bit late, but for the 0 interested readers: WitPAE is one of the very few larger programs, where you can just copy the already installed files from one PC to another, and it will still work without a glitch, no need to install.

You can do this on your own computer as well. No need to reinstall, just copy the existing directory to another. Et voilá, 2 working WitP directories. Handy for trying out other version. dBB or such

That is not true. You have to install the game at least once on a new computer to set the registry data files properly.

After you do that, you can just copy game files to other locations on the computer.

Yes.

Otherwise you need to tinker with registry. You get error when just transferring files and trying to play.
