RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues
The TPY-2 radar needs to have its range significantly increased.
In CMO, this radar is listed as having a range of 540 miles. The data cited in the database is from 2013.
This radar is the anti-ballistic radar used by the THAAD system.
There are numerous sources that indicate that the radar has a much longer range, even from the same source (Wikipedia, 2013) that is used by the game which was used to give the radar its 540 mile range.
The current Wikipedia source indicates that the radar has a 2900 mile range.
Many of the cited reports indicate that the radar works with the SM-3 IIA, which has a 1300-mile range. In order to utilize the missile's range, it would need a radar that extends beyond 540 miles.
There are so many resources available on this topic. The range of the radar would obviously have to be greater than the weapon. If the SM IIA has a range of 1300 miles, then the TPY-2 has to be somewhere close to that
It is stated that the radar can track a baseball in flight from several hundred miles away. If that's the case, then optics have to be unbelievable.
Much of the ABM defense is going to be based on ballistic missile defense. As stated, your own Wikipedia source has been updated to something greater. It's time that the TPY-2's range in the game be updated as well.
Lastly, for whatever reason, the TPY-2 only starts detecting a DF-21 at about 340 miles away, instead of the listed 540. So, with a diminished range to start off with, the range is even further reduced.
The TPY-2 needs to have a significant range upgrade in order to be relevant at all.

<detail>
The Swedish Armed Forces has reactivated the country’s air defence missile system 23 and will be stationed in Gotland.
The ‘reintroduction’ of this missile system comes after it was put in the materiel reserve for a few years.
The medium-range air defence system was developed in the 1990s and completed in the early 2000s.
According to the Swedish Armed Forces, the unit in the materiel reserve trained at the Air Defence Regiment (LV6) in the Swedish city of Halmstad.
The part of Missile system 23, which launches the surface-to-air missile, is called ‘Launch unit 23’.
Launch unit 23 is a missile vehicle that can be towed by any type of pulling vehicle. The roof of the vehicle is mounted with a gun carriage with six launch-ready missiles, an extendable 8m-long mast with command radar and an infrared camera.
The unit can be connected to the central reconnaissance radar called as ‘Intelligence unit 23’. It can also, however, operate independently if needed.
Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) Army Materiel head Mikael Frisell said: “The system has now been tested at Saab in Karlskoga, and it is working.</detail>

Strike Eagle proven capable of carrying 15 JDAMs on single sortie
By 1st Lt. Savanah Bray, 53rd Wing / Published March 02, 2021
EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The 85th Test and Evaluation Squadron successfully flew an F-15E Strike Eagle carrying six JDAMs on a single side of the aircraft on Feb 22, 2021, showcasing a proof of concept for Agile Combat Employment, known as “ACE.”
“Currently the F-15E is authorized to carry a max of nine JDAMs, but the success of this test expands that to 15 JDAMs,” said Maj. Andrew Swanson, F-15E Weapons System Officer, 85th TES.
“The Strike Eagle can now carry enough JDAMs for an active combat mission, land at a remote location, and reload itself and/or another aircraft – such as an F-35 or F-22 – for additional combat sorties,” said Lt. Col. Jacob Lindaman, commander, 85th TES.
While not all the JDAMs carried can be employed in a single mission, this proves the Strike Eagle’s ability to ferry JDAMs while simultaneously releasing them on an active combat mission – a key component to the ACE model. The combat tactic of reloading in a remote location previously took two C-130s to carry the necessary munitions and personnel. Once at the location, the JDAMs had to be assembled, taking extra time. The additional carriage on the F-15E allows fully assembled JDAMs to be transported, reducing the requirement to just one C-130 and saving eliminating onsite bomb building.

Sweden Re-introducing Truck-Based RBS15 Coastal Defence Batteries
The Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten) announced today that land-based coastal defence batteries are on their way back. By reintroducing them, the Swedish Navy will be able to launch Saab-made RBS15 anti-ship missiles from the country's coastlines against targets at sea at great distances.
The coastal batteries will be deployed by the Swedish Navy. They are being re-created through the use of former decommissioned coastal missile batteries (launcher vehicles) as well as from missiles and launchers taken from decommissioned missile boats and corvettes.
The system is based on the RBS15 anti-ship missile, a missile already in use with the Swedish Navyand Air Force.
"The system has been tested in full-scale trials, where the RBS15 has been fired with good results and a coastal missile unit now takes part in the Navy's ongoing exercise Swenex 16, conducted in the waters between Södertörn and Västervik and around Gotland. This has been in good cooperation with FMV and Saab" said Defense Logistics Manager Thomas Engevall.
Swenex 16 is implemented on the basis of a "security operation" in a worsening external environment located on the Swedish east coast of central and local coordination with the Coast Guard, Maritime Administration, Police and others under the leadership of the Marine tactical commander.
About RBS15
The RBS-15 (Robotsystem 15) is a long-range fire-and-forget surface-to-surface and air-to-surface, anti-ship missile. The later version Mk3 (not used yet by Sweden but in use with the German and Polish navies) has the ability to attack land targets as well. Due to its high maneuverability, the long-range, all-weather capable, fire-and-forget RBS15 Mk3 missile can track targets in low-level flight directly above the water surface and fly around or over islands at distances up to and far beyond 200km.
It is extremely resistant to electronic countermeasures and characterized by high robustness against air defence sites employing guided and tube weapons, for instance, by unexpected evasive maneuvers during terminal approach.

Want to build a scenario to simulate the recent Azerbaijan-Armenian conflict - specifically the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Nagorno-Karabakh_war
The Azerbaijanis won decisively using Turkish UAVs and Israeli Loitering Munitions drones - specifically:
IAI Harop
https://www.iai.co.il/p/harop
Turkish Bayraktar TB2
The Turkish TB2 appears to be in the database but I could not find the Israeli IAI Harop - there was an armed UCAV I could substitute as a stopgap.
But Loitering Munitions are somewhat different - designed to be assigned a target (in this war by the TB2) and then 'suicide' into it with its loaded munitions.
If the Harop runs low on fuel before being used it RTBs/refuels and relaunches.
Is the Harop in the DB and I missed it, or if not could it be added?
Thanks

Harop is in the DB3k already.
DB ref .
#2620 - SSM Bty (Harop TEL) (Israel - 2010)
There is an entry for India too.#2618.
Quick scenario check and it seems to work as the HAROP would, launched, loitered waiting for a target and attacked when one found as instructed.

The DB link above is useful for quick checks although it's not the most recent DB it is a good quick way of checking and is mobile device friendly.

Maximum altitude: 55,000ft, not 45,000ft as it now appears in the database
AESA radar: new radar is ECRS MK2, not CAPTOR-E. ECR2 MK2 will have Electronic Attack. IOC 2025, no AESA radar until then.

Loadouts: GBU-24 is not integrated into the Eurofighter. The only anti-bunker armament the Typhoon has are Paveway IV and Storm Shadow.
The Eurofighter can only carry 2000lbs category weapons on the three wet pylons, and in addition the centre pylon is required for a laser designation pod in the case of carrying laser-guided weapons.
This also conditions the cruise missile load shown in the database (2x Storm Shadow + 3 1000L tanks is wrong).
If the Typhoon carries 2 Storm Shadow it can only carry ONE 1000L tank (also the Italian Eurofighter has this configuration).

Absolutely incredible sim! Thank you to all the devs and everyone involved in making it such an amazing program. [&o] CMANO & CMO
I would like to request the addition of some hypothetical units:
Chinese H-20 bomber
American Columbia-class boomer
“Rods from God” kinetic orbital strike
Space-Based Jamming/ECM and GPS/SatNav interference
I’m also curious if the consumer version of CMO will feature hypersonic weapons at some point?
Again, love Command: Modern Operations. You guys are absolutely awesome. Thank you for all your hard work.

<summary>Update SM6 Blk IB surface target range and top speed</summary>
<detail>The forthcoming SM6 Block IB is now regularly cited as one of the hypersonic weapons currently in development by the United States. The in-game weapon, however, hits a top speed of just under Mach 4. It is not yet clear what the new missile's top speed will actually be, but Mach 5 would be a minimum for it to qualify as hypersonic.
Furthermore, the missile's max ranges for air and surface targets are currently identical, however due to the more energetically efficient nature of ballistic surface to surface missile trajectories (that do not require the same level of manoeuvring capability or course adjustments to hit their target), the max range against surface targets should exceed the effective/max range against aircraft. Admittedly, open source information does not yet seem to cover the size of this difference, but as it stands the in-game weapon seems to be under-performing in this area.
It is worth considering, for example, that the Army/USMC PrSM is a significantly smaller missile (with a nonetheless heavier 200lb warhead) that will still outrange the in-game SM6 Blk IB by some ~70nm in the surface to surface role...</detail>

<summary>Update loadouts F-35I Adir 2018 (#3447) to Block 3F </summary>
<detail>
With the exception of the first two aircraft, all of Israel’s jets reportedly have versions of the Block 3F software package, which would give the aircraft the ability to employ both GPS-guided Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) and Paveway-series laser-guided bombs from its internal weapons bays while maintaining its full stealth characteristics. The U.S. Air Force has also cleared the GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bomb on its F-35As, which are similar to the F-35I.
Israel probably also has AIM-9X missiles, it was seen in an F-35 over Lebanon with external missiles. (DCSA https://www.dsca.mil/press-media/major- ... r-missiles )
Also, RAMPAGE ALBM shoud be deleted. Israel can only introduce its new weaponry following the F-35I test aircraft received in late 2020 (F-35I 2025)

Block 3F loadouts:

<detail> Please amend typo with facility as #2217 shows mounts SSC-6 Switchblade TELAR [3M24E] should be SSC-6 Sennight TELAR [3M24 Bal].
Weapons on the mount are 8x SS-N-25 Switchblade [Kh-35 Uran] GLONASS and should be SSC-6 Sennight [Kh-35Bal]
SSC-6 Sennight [Bal] SSM missile mounts should match description of facility and #969 - SS-N-25 Switchblade [Kh-35 Uran] GLONASS replaced with matching land based version SSC-6 Sennight</detail>
<evidence>
As stated this is just to amend designations and create land based copy of SS-N-25 please.

#2419 - 828 Edermen [Pr.1241.8 Tarantul V] (Turkmenistan - 2013)
#2418 - HQ 375 [Pr.1241.8 Tarantul V] (Vietnam [1975-] - 2013)
DB-3K lists all the above vessels as having a 1x 57mm/75 A-220M mount.
In reality all have 76mm AK-176 main guns of different variants.
The 57mm A-220M is NOT in service yet.

#2890 - PK Vasil Bykov [Pr.22160] (Russia [1992-] - 2017) Has 1x AK-176MA 76mm HE Naval Gun Upgrade - identical to #3202 - MRK Smerch Nanuchka III [Pr.1234.2] (Russia [1992-] - 2021)
As a further aside the Bykov's are primarily constabulary vessels and are unlikely to carry Calibre SSM in peacetime and don't (despite all the blurb) appear to have any Gibka mount for the Igla in their current form, it appears the Igla's are just crew shoulder launched weapons.
#2419 - 828 Edermen [Pr.1241.8 Tarantul V] (Turkmenistan - 2013) Has 1x AK-176 76mm/60 Single.
