Global Domination 1938 (v3) gets an Update

Global Domination 1938 (v3) is updated to version 1.05.

Several changes have occured since the last update here (1.03).

Version 1.04 brought a more realistic map to China, as well as other areas in the South and East of Asia. It also had a host of other changes, among them a new Threaten mechanism, allowing for more threats to be issued by Germany and USSR. See notes in the text below.

Version 1.05 has at its core changes to the way the US isolationism works. It now is largely dependent on how world events currently are. The worse it looks for the Allies, the faster they enter the war. Then there is the new unit types (SFTs), of which the majority of them are German. See the notes for the changes in the text below as well.

Version 104 patch notes

China's map got an overhaul.
India's map got an overhaul.
SE Asia map got an overhaul.
El Paso moved back to original place
He-111H(N) now has night bomber symbol
Assigned Officers now always gain XP each turn
Industrialize city is now three cards, one for each type of colonial city type
USA-Hanoi one more turn. Instead of 1 turn delay, 2 turn delay
Now factories can be torn down, the player doing so gets 50 PPs/Annex
China lost an engineer
Fixed Guns and Costal Guns now require a strat - research to build. Only China needs research.
Roads now slower in mud and snow for all SFTs, except rail speed.
Liberty ships added for US (Cheap cargoship)
Long range destroyer added for Germany (DD Z1944)
New Threaten code for Germany and USSR
- It is now no longer possible to threaten all nations, instead there is now a series of special threatens. Three for Germany, Four for USSR.
- This series is, for Germany, Czachoslovakia, Poland, Denmark/Norway. The series, for USSR, is: Baltic countries, Finland, Romania, Poland.
- In some cases not all the country threatened will be lost if succesful. I'll let it up to you to explore the details (though they are detailed on the threaten card)
- If a threaten fails, you will get a card to play (for free) to determine if you go to war. If you do, then war will happen, as normal.
- However if you do not, you will lose face. This means all minor nations lose a number of diplomatic points with the threatener, as well as some diplomatic drift.
- Also the morale of the country becomes less, and it will take some time to recover to a normal state.

Bug fixes:
Italian supplies: 600 in certain cases, and message wrong, now 800.
Soviet units now have 40 XP in far east, and 25 in the south towards Afghanistan.
Live off the Land could have a bug if units had been disbanded before during the turn.

Version 105 patch notes

New Isolationism mechanism.
- US entry now depends on events in the world.
- Lobbying results are visible to player lobbying
- US has ability to see who is lobbying.

German SFT Pack improvement
- New German tank research results
- New SFTs (Both land, air and sea)

Threatening has become tougher, the more you make the smaller chance of succes

Swiss and Finns start off with 25 XP instead of 10 XP

Bug Fix:

2x20mm flak in Coruna had the wrong people type.
The F8F now weighs 10, not 100, making it able to fly off of carriers
The American officer Devers, somehow had gotten only 1 staff point to start off with. Corrected.
ISU-122 had the wrong fuel, and caused bugs because of it.
The Stalingrad forts did not disappear when taken by enemy forces. They now do.
If DK/Norway was taken control of, before the Germans threatend it, and then the Germans did, they took over all of DK/Norway and not just Denmark.
The problem was fixed, and the card for taking over Threatening Denmark while it has another owner has been removed.

Havent tried a version but 105 germany does not build pzlvd but rather heavy tank 1.

Yes, they get the Neubaufahrzeug, which is what the generic Heavy Tank I is. Pz IVDs are now a part of the medium tanks upgrades.

your list claims PzIVD is in medium tank 1 it is not.

You are right, of course, it is not medium tank I. It should be medium tank II.

Ya I have gotten czech to extremely low and even after 6 attempts ( continuing to lower the government) I failed every time.

I put in a cap for the chance for each threaten stage.

The first one is 51. Meaning there is a maximum chance of 51% of it succeeding. You are just having rotten luck.

However there might be an error in the way I calculate the chance. I might be using the stability in the opposite way as I should, so that lower stabilty gives worse chances...

After checking that indeed seems to be the case. The stability is working opposite as intended. Thanks for reporting. :)

Do you need a version where it is working?
