Norway Theatre Box

I understand that if I remove units from the African, Italian and Western Europe Theatre boxes it may/will lead to earlier German surrenders e.g. Africa and earlier Allied invasions of Italy etc but what about Norway? Whilst the threat of an Allied invasion was always there we know it was never a serious proposition therefore if I were to remove some or all of the infantry divisions stationed there what are the possible consequences as it holds no direct route to Germany?

Please bear in mind that I know Norway was vital to Germany for it's supplies of Iron ore from Sweden, is this modelled in the game, and that there were commando raids and the resistance but there was no active major combat operations.

You will lose AP and VP if you dont have enough forces in Norway. And losing 1 every week over many turns will probably lead to losing war due to the low VP in 1942 or 1943.
