Set/lock AFV type in unit

Forgive me if this is buried in the manual and I've missed it:
One of the feature that was really needed (in my view!)in WITE1 was the ability to set/lock an AFV type for a unit in the same way you can of aircraft groups.
I would really like to give my training units old/obsolete tanks etc to learn with - not brand new or in short supply equipment. Can/could this be done for WITE 2? I have spent quite few hours reading the manual but is very large and I may have missed it!

I could have sworn this was a feature discussed in the old WITE2 thread. I guess it would also let you concentrate some of your rarer AFVs into one or two units which could also be handy for the Axis allies.
