1 Inf Corps in UK in reserve just in case.

France

A LOT of Inf...you can count if you like.
Some sit in Garrison mode so that I could get more INF in play. But they will come out of that mode as needed.
I messed up and overbuilt a bit...always forget, but as units die Logistics will free up.

Rain comes...there is dancing in the streets of Paris...they have 2 more weeks of non-oppression

The German navy make a bold move...

They sink 10MM and the 3 French escorts. That was nice of them, cleaning up for me.
But the British carriers strike with their swordfish...

The Germans make a bold deep thrust into French territory. It is expensive in manpower but they do cripple 4 French corps including 2 50% exp ones that were to be used in the counter attack.

But they have left an opening...

First thing...French attack units on the front lines with an air faint...using fighters that can not longer fight in the air battle...they survive and wear down the LW.

Now that the counter attack is set up, French bombers are called in, they soften up the Infantry corps keeping supply to the frontline units.

Now the armored spear strikes.

Unit retreats under the pressure.

Strike at the inf behind as now 3 units can bear on it.

The infantry corp shatters under the attacks.

Now to keep the pressure up...
Attacks turn to the other infantry corps keeping the units in supply

It takes 3 attacks but it shatters.

The Allies now surround the remaining Germans

And the Germans surrender.

Paratroopers surrender

Other unit is holding tight...Allies decide to surround and hope that it is stuck next turn...though highly unlikely.

The Allies set up for the inevitable counter attack by German armor hoping that they are worn a bit more than they are.



Losses thusfar

The Germans get smashed...3 Infantry Corps and 1 Paratrooper.
Allies do not "lose" any units just mixed damage.

On UK corp is to damaged to continue...it heads for a rail line to go south for the Africa campaign.

This was a hard blow for the Germans !!

In the French campaign Axis can reach 250 casualties and continue with its expansion plans, but it hurts a lot to see Corps destroyed, they will be expensive to replace!

But there is no regret, OKW decided on a hyper-aggressive strategy!

Although the next counterattack could be deadly for the Axis!
