the terrain symbols. Do they already have their movement cost and defense sitting already set by default or do you have to set them. Thanks

If you start a new scenario from scratch you have to input all the data. Some can be imported from the Data menu item.

Reason for this is that you can design the terrains by various means

defense, name, movement, rugged, etc. Basically they are all unique. What are you trying to make?
