Road to Leningrad Scenario

I hardly get in the vincinity of Narva and Luga/Novgorod line in this scenario in normal difficulty. Is anyone struggling with this scenario or is it just me unable to understand how the game works? How to reach Leningrad?

Reaching Leningrad isn't that hard...taking it, however is another matter. I would remind you than you can also not take Leningrad and swing east and take more VP objectives and still get a draw, which is the historical result. If you are relatively new, it's hard.
