Daylight arrives...and no joy. Hit by a long lance at the start of battle.

March 1, 1942

The IJN task forces headed for Ceylon seem to have retreated, looks like some of it is headed for Akyab, and there are 7 IJA units headed for Chittagong and also north east along the jungle line looking to surround Chittagong.

Could the Ceylon forces look to invade Diamond Harbor or Viz now?

The IJA Tank Spearhead in China, 10 units and 600+ vehicles has now reached my major holding position where Stuarts lie in ambush (absolute rookies, experience 8[X(]). This fight will be super interesting. Can the Chinese and their Commonwealth Allies hold?

In Australia, the armor gets a solid TOE upgrade with Matilda's really filling out the armor. Only have enough Matildas to partially fill one armor unit though.

Hornet has arrived at Balboa, but will simply train there for a bit, till some escorts arrive. The Deathstar, sans Saratoga is at Pearl training, while Saratoga is headed for Port Augusta/Adelaide area. The British carriers are going into harms way today...

Lots of new planes coming online this month, along with strong Dutch reinforcements. Too bad there is no Dutch airforce anymore, pretty much. The Lodestars are still flying though.

Flying Tigers are still strong, I have enough P40Es to upgrade one squadron, I wonder if I should do it, or save them for Australia and India?

Stalemate at Maryborough, for now...

Had to abandon Kalgoorlie, lest the troops get cut off, and now instead of taking the empty base, he is bombing it for VP.

P-40Es - you have those 3 to 4 air groups that came in mid-Jan being withdrawn shortly, but you get to keep the pilots and airframes. Keep that in mind when deciding on where those precious P-40s go.

American TB groups - I tend to take them off my CVs and train them up in NavT, then NavB, and thirdly in Gnd to increase their overall experience levels which you will need to have them be effective in '43 and beyond. Even when you get the Avenger, unless their overall experience levels are decent or better, they will not get many TT hits. Place a marine fighter group on the CVs to increase their survivability chances.

I took one of the TB groups off, maybe more. I do like to use them in an ASW role. I will double check and see how many Marine fighter squadrons I have on the carriers. I remember you like doing that!

At present I am more afraid of Iboats, than a CV clash which I am taking efforts to avoid![;)]

The weakest Chinese Corp, the 21st seems to bear the brunt of the attack...and will retreat. The artillery came thru in good condition with very few disablements to none in the dedicated Art units. The 14th Corp also took some damage...you can look back a few posts and see a tracker report on these troops.

If he was about to land at Chittagong, I'd think he'd still be moving in with his land units. I think he's going to land at Diamond Harbor, and you are very prepared there. I think that your opponent is in for a very unpleasant surprise, and one that will change the initiative in this theater.

So he has gone for the Indian Ocean islands?

Looks like he's going for the cutting off of India and Ceylon but he's giving you plenty of warning about it if he is

And its either Viz, Diamond Harbour or Chittagong, but then again, it always is
