Naval patrol

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Naval patrol

When naval patrols go out, what are they actually hunting? Besides amphib task groups I mean. The naval element is so distracted. Could I bag a uboat or two as the allies?

more the reverse, they set down low levels of interdictions and make it less likely you'll lose a transport ship.

particularly useful along the N African coast where you can often have formations moving be sea, really it just reduces the attrition that little bit
