Period of time of choice is definitely World War II (although would love to find a Napoleonic game that satisfies - Tiler's Waterloo was great and is my favourite set piece battle).

As for topics, I think big picture strategic is my favourite type - hence World In Flames, Strategic Command Europe and World at War, Commander the Great War , I've bought Warplan and will buy Warplan Pacific etc

I don't have a 'thing' for any particular time within the 1939-45 timeframe - although of course would love a Mediterranean 1940-43 game (as may have been mentioned in passing once or twice before).

I must confess that games about periods of the war, where the war has essentially been decided, don't really float my boat, but will probably give the Decisive Campaigns game about the Bulge a go based on the fun I had with earlier titles.

Now Maitland, now's your time!

1813 (Napoleon) may be my favorite campaign, although it does change. Both sides attacking and defending and fairly evenly matched until the Austrians got moving. Can't think of any PC games on that campaign tho - although there was that AGEOD game with it as a scenario the scale was too big for my tastes. I was hoping Frank Hunter was going to do one but I haven't heard any news.

30 Years War is another favorite of mine. I've enjoyed the AGEOD game on that.
