Another naval interdiction question

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Another naval interdiction question

Post by cato13 »

Does the area west of oran need to be covered with allied aircraft to protects units travelling from the uk?

units arrive automatically in oran when transiting from the uk so was just wondering if the units transit from the map edge to the port is abstracted?

keep the naval air in North Africa spread out as it starts, the low level interdiction it puts down off all the ports is really useful - so yes, UK-Oran moves are subject to attrition (think this would be reported in the logistics phase) but not much.

Its more of a problem Oran-eastwards
