Ship Repair

Post by MemoryLeak »

I'm getting into this game. Supply and naval combat is difficult to remember every rule but maybe someday.

#1 Ships, I believe ships are required to be in a level 5 or greater port to be repaired. Do the number of ships that need repairing in a port simultaneously affect the repair time? In other words if there are 4 ships or 10 ships that need repairing does it make any difference in time required to finish the job?

#2 And do repairs consume any resources?

#3 And is there a limit on how many ships can occupy a port at any given time?

If these can be answered in the manual, I apologize, but I am getting a little manual-saturated at the moment and I'm up to 8 hours on the Let's play videos. I'd like to try playing the game someday, if I ever get through all the rules.

#1 As long as you are in a port size 5 and higher all naval groups get repair. Be sure to use the "priority" button and have "reinforcements" on which is by default. Also allocate production to repair. It can be a little confusing at first because no one else has done it this way but it saves a lot of micromanaging on units.

There is a repair priority table in the manual.

#2 Yes. Naval is 25% of full cost, Air 40% of full cost, and I think land 50 or 60% I dont remember at the moment

#3 No, but putting 6 CVs in a size 1 port is asking for the enemy to ram his battle ships in there and kill you lol. A port 5+ port prevents any surface attack.

hehe no problem man. This is why the forums are here.
