Air group limit with air hqs?

Post by cato13 »

Im having some issues transferring air groups to certain air hqs which makes me think there is some kind of limit on that.

Where do i find that info?

ps,

so ive had another look at the manual this morning and it says there is not such limit. the problem is ive transferred fighters from the med to england but im unable to attach them to 1st bomb division usaaf as it doesnt show up on the list.

ive actually got a similar issue in the med. im unable to attach a polish division to a uk corp.

is there some crazy ruleset im missing?

For air groups, you can transfer the air groups to a 1st Bomb Division air base that has at least one 1st BD air group already on it (so the transferred group doesn't flip control of the base), then click the "SET AIR GRUP HQ TO..." link to change the transferred air group to 1st BD.

Or you need to have the transferred air group physically close enough to the 1st BD HQ so that the HQ shows as one of the three (?) sub-AAHQ's within range. If it's the air phase, you can't move the AHQ so you need to get the air group near it, and with all the extra AHQ's in the game clustered in the southeast and east of England, that can be difficult.

For ground units it's probably the same issue of the Polish division not being close enough to the UK corps HQ.
