Couple Questions on Naval/Airwarfare

How do you attack subs with destoyers? I have surrounded multiple japanese subs but it won't let me attack them it
just says they are in the area.

I gave one of the carriers +4 Anti air guns as a specialty but it still shows only 4 AA attack same as my other carriers.

There is a Airfield at 89,32 that says i own it but i am unable to land planes there its just north of port moresby.

Destroyers and carriers add a bonus to convoy escorts, when placed on a convoy route. Subs can be attacked directly only when in shallow/coastal water, or by land-based air.
