How do you generate the colored screens in posts 375-377?

You can get the different colored indicators from the drop down menu here. You have a whole bunch to choose from which can be very beneficial.

Fuel has been chosen for this screenshot from an opening German turn. Soviets have the same icons of course.

I`m kinda surprised that the Reds can see their opponents supply state ?

Exactly. You should not be able to see this at all in my book. I am sure someone will let us know but to be able to read all this I can really nail down what I need to do. I wouldn't let any of this to be seen for the other side really.

Soft factor visibility depends on detection level. See #378, the 6=12 division has a DL where you can see everything but soft factors. Not sure if it's too easy to see them at the moment?

I think the soft factor visibility has some level of uncertainty, similar to enemy CV levels.

Turn 10 End of Turn

AP Points saved to date, 120

What is your reason for saving the AP rather than switching generals earlier? Is it simply to lower the random chance of the general getting shot by Stalin, wounded, etc, or getting a reduced rating from having too many losses, or anything else I am missing?

If you replace Soviet leaders too soon then you increase the chance of losing the leader if the HQ is overrun by the Axis.

Up to turn 10 I saw "no difference" after having changed leaders at all. Granted with poor leaders you will lose more men and fail more rolls. But in the strategic long run of things it seemed to have made little to no difference. It is more important having the proper chain of command I found to stack your rolls so if one misses the next may catch the failure. Thus I saved my points. For my latest game as Soviets I am not spending my points until I know the front is stable. I did the same thing here spending all 120 points because I know, based on the play so far by my opponent, that I can hold the front. Unless of course the situation changes, i.e. better supply, resting of the PZs/Moto, deep penetration. Everyone has their style ;-P

This is SOOOOOOOOOO true in WITE2. The wind blows wrong and a displaced HQ will have a leader loss.

Can't post pictures at the moment so can't update the AAR. Will have to wait for Matrix/Slitherine to fix the file upload feature to update.

Whether the weather be fine,
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot.
We'll weather the weather,
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not!

I wonder whether I should just stop posting on all my AAR's altogether or weather the storm?

Sorry, but if you're afraid of losing leaders, play checkers. The guys that went on to capture Berlin didn't hang out in their tents.

It is part of the game, no big deal. I will beat people with level 2, 3, & 4 leaders I don't give a frack. But the end result is it doesnt matter what leader is in the HQ when it is displaced the leader has a high chance of getting killed be it a good leader or a bad leader.

I would just like to mention that I suck at keeping leaders alive.

As the Soviets I lost Zhukov on turn 2 as commander of the STAVKA which had not moved from Moscow. This was in my game vs HYLA. By the time the game ended I had lost over 40 Soviet commanders - over two per turn. I had lost another four commanders due to execution. It was not a good game for Soviet leadership . . .

In my last five or more games as the Axis I have lost von Manstein on turn 5 AT THE LATEST. I have also had a game where Guderian, von Manstein, Model (who replaced Guderian), von Kluge, and Heth had all been KIA by turn 5. In none of those cases has the leader been in an HQ that was displaced.

What is the reason of the losses? Such high death rate looks weird.

Bad luck. Every leader has a micro chance of death each turn. In my case that happens every game to von Manstein.
