Missing menu icons

Post by JagWars »

I have not played this game for some time
I am using the latest Win 10 version.
Installed 1.23.07 update and began playing. After a few hours I realized that the description on the menu icons was inconsistent with the information being displayed.
I went to the manual for help. I noticed that the manual reference several more menu icons than my game was displaying.
I did a complete re-install. I played the original version long enough to confirm that all of the menu icons referenced in the manual were present
Since the 1.23.07 was a beta, I updated my game to version 1.22.xx but experienced the same problem with the missing menu icons.
Installed everything on a Win 7 computer and experience the same issue.
I have perused the forum and did not see anyone else eliciting the same problem.
Anyone have any ideas?

Please see Windows 10 Installation Hang-ups above.

For whatever reason, I've found three things that work best: 1) Running as Admin to install, 2) rebooting your PC between installs and updates, and 3) setting compatibility to WinXP/SP2. If you need to start over, then uninstall all files and reboot. The original game installer is old and you need a bit of patience to work through the updates. We're hoping to update the installer with the v1.23.08 release.
