Yes, I have an inhaler. It didn't help much. As far as mold goes, I haven't been around any. But thanks for the heads up....GP

Hope you recover quickly, GP!

I was in the hospital for 17 days then in a nursing home for over 16 months . . . [:(]
Some pretty nurses and aides there. [:D]

But at least I am on this side of the grass . . . [:)]

Just take it easy and stay hydrated. That will also help bring up the mucus - nasty it will be. Warm to hot chicken soup/broth/buillion will also help.

If the albuterol inhaler does not help much, ask for a nebulizer.

Agree with the chicken soup - best if made from the bones of the carcass rather than the rather thin commercial versions.

Another great anti-viral/anti-fungal food is Manuka honey. Quite expensive as it comes from NZ and is in high worldwide demand.
It comes in different grades depending on the strength of the medicinal properties. My jar is "5+ UMF" and says that is equivalent to 83 mg of methylgloxal. I only take a small teaspoon of it once a day when I feel ill. Also, do not put it in tea or other hot beverage as that will destroy the organic medicinal properties. Availble in health food stores and some pharmacies. No, COSTCO does not sell the giant economy 5 gallon pail of it ...

Thanks for the suggestions RJ and BB. At the moment I'm breathing ok. The Honey from NZ sounds interesting though....GP

Except for the antibiotics and possibly other medicine, if you start feeling ill, heat up a cup of red wine. The darker the red the better. Then put in a teaspoon to a tablespoon of lemon juice. The wine has antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties from the grapes. I guess that dark grape juice would work as well.

My stepmother's cough syrup:

Whiskey or brandy, with a little less lemon, with a little less honey. It goes good in tea as well. [:'(]

The black walnut is really good looking wood. I will post a pic of it when my Apple email acct gets reset. Seems they want to have it stay down for a few days to 'prove' it has not been hacked. I guess I could also revive my old Google acct. Or use the old fashioned digital camera instead of the phone.

That is good.

In 2014, according to a CT scan, my lower two thirds of my left lung was just as dense as my liver. [X(] You do not want to get like that.

Yeah, you have to take care of yourself....GP

At the same time, I had a systemic infection of Candida Albans I do believe, a blood clot in my upper right thigh but my right calf was too swollen to check, an infection on the top of my right foot that when they removed the dead tissue the whole was 5.5 cm by 4.5 cm down to the muscles and ligaments of my foot. That foot infection did not go into my bones. My blood pressure was 62 over 58. [X(] I was a little dehydrated . . .

When they finally took a tissue sample from my right lung and cultured it, I was told that black mold was growing. I had been given medicine but was not getting better and the medical staff could not figure out why until they took the tissue sample with the resulting culture. I even went into an isolation room because TB was suspected. I do have a small amount of lung scarring.

I lost 50 pounds of weight in 5 weeks and I was water bloated. More than once, I tapped my kidneys and over 1 litre came out. The measuring device that hold that much in the toilet bowl runneth over. I was told that the normal output for an adult was around 200 ml. Yes, I did feel it drain from my kidneys! I was drinking up to 3 litres of water a day, 5 or 6 small cartons of milk, plus receiving 7 to 9 IVs a day with different medicines. Each IV was a half litre or 1 litre of fluids.

Covid-19 does not scare me but I am careful.
