PBEM login

When trying to login with my existing matrix account into the PBEM server I get "The username & password do not match" after some time, though I'm 99% sure it's the correct one I bought the game with. My opponent also has the same problem. Trying to recreate my account in the game rightfully complains that the username is already taken. Is the password somehow another one than the matrix login, and if so, where can I set it? (My account page shows that SameLogin is connected, whatever this means.)

Same login is when matrix and slitherine merged. You can copy paste into the password field so try that after pasting into matrix login.

Copy & pasting increases my 99% sureness to 100% that the login should be correct, as it works on matrixgames and this forum.

Contact support for logins and passwords if the server can't find you. That is on the Matrix side.

I assume you all are entering it in manually.

This files holds your PBEM login. It can be deleted and will recreate. This is usually only done if you get a corruption error.
In C:\Users\"your user name"\Documents\My Games\WarPlan\playerData.dat
