Last question - and a pretty important one.

I never know how to check the requirements of a game with what my computer can do.

Anyone know how I check my computer specs please?

Thank-you.

https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ In search type in War in the West. It hasn't added the current one yet. Then hit the Can you Run it button. It will download a detection exe. Click that, and take it from there.

Thanks Emperor [:)]

Ever get the feeling you wish you'd never asked though? [:(]

Rarely. You don't ask, you don't learn. At least in my Imperial Opinion. Or, as Bismarck said “Fools learn from experience. I prefer to learn from the experience of others.”

Don't worry about it being over your head. We can help you.

One that makes the least amount of sense is:

Oh, and there are indeed stupid questions. [;)]

Oh? If I state that I will post a rebel flag, you assume that I am referring to a rebellion that occurred in the 1860's in the United States of America and not a different rebellion in that country nor someplace such as the British Isles. When I post a flag that is not from that rebellion that you assumed, then you appear to be an . . .

Ye, stupid questions have been asked twice.

Exactly why the hell do you constantly do this to people. Most especially me and Mrs. Wargamer? If you have a problem with me then please ignore my posts. You are one of the most annoying people it has been my misfortune to know in any forum! Please leave me alone!

So you don't appear to believe in an education where you can learn by reading and observing others.

Just remember what Jorge Santayana said about that.

Stop needling people. Not every single post needs a response, especially an argumentative one.

I'll ask everyone to please try and remain positive and on-topic.

The GD still expands the boundaries of idiocy.

It's a nice outlet for them.

been following this since i saw it first posted, and my only thoughts on, being one of the early testers on it, is,....

why not?

there are others of the same type, WITE, WITW, WITP etc, but if you already own any of these, then your already into epic games and struggles, which this is just the latest and imo the best version to date.

for a short answer

Well. I own all three of those titles, and I suspect warspite1 own them as well. And I am pretty sure that neither of us have played them. So that might be a reason to not get the latest game of that type. [:)]

Thanks to those who made meaningful contributions to this thread - whether for or against.

I have decided to pull the trigger and will be attempting a game with AllenK as soon as we get SCWaW finished. I hope it proves more successful than WITP-AE, but am encouraged by what Zovs and Loki have said in particular about being able to automate a lot of 'stuff' and then being able to change settings as and when comfortable to do so.

I don't know which side I will be yet - but am looking forward to getting started and will be doing an AAR.
