Fighter interception rules clarification

Post by incbob »

I have a fleet, at sea, 3 hexes from and friendly port. The friendly port has a fighter group set to support and it has over half of its strength (18/20). The enemy launches an airstrike against my fleet.

Will my fighters react to intercept the enemy and provide air cover to my fleet?
If my fighters will react what is the max range they will fly to provide cover?

If they will not react and provide cover how do I provide air cover from land based units for my fleets?

Outstanding.

You have done an excellent job with this game. As a huge fan of the Pacific Theatre I know how hard it is to make a good game on this subject. Naval Warfare is just very difficult to get right and most games can't get it and air power right.
Thank you for making a Pacific Theatre game I can play in my lifetime.

I look at my wishlist and most things are just things that would add difficulty to the game and might not be in your games vision. That alone tells me you did a great job. (Yes, I am going to keep posting my wishlist, I do get to dream after all. :)
