Unable to select units in MOVE Mode

Help needed to gain control of units in MOVE mode.
My cat ran across the keyboard, unable to select units in MOVE mode

1. Hit Escape a few times.
2. Make sure you're in normal move mode by pressing F1.
3. Make sure you're in the Ground phase and not the air phase.
4. Exit the game and reload your last save.
