The XXXXIX Mnt Corps collapses the southern pocket to a single remaining stack. LII Corps is as successful with the center pocket leaving a single stack there too. IV Corps is more successful wiping out the two northern pockets and continuing their advance towards Vinnitsa.
The 9th Army has begun to relieve 3rd PG from having to hold the front line and freeing it up for maneuvering again. The VI Corps improves on that by opening up some holes to the south of the land bridge for possible panzer breakthroughs.
2nd Army begins to insert itself in between the AGN 16th Army and AGC 9th Army. The third corps is brought up to Polotsk area for deployment next turn.
The army begins to shift to the north as it is relieved by 2nd Army. It also eliminates the two pockets from last turn and is beginning to surround Pskov.
The army continues to advance towards the Gulf of Finland. One corps crosses the river between Lakes Pskov and Peipus to outflank the Soviet defense of Pskov.
The land bridge is now pocketed by 3rd PG. There are an estimated 10+ Soviet divisions in the pocket with 9th Army already present to eliminate the pocket next turn.
XXXXVII Mot Corps utilizes the work of 9th Army, blowing through the same holes exploited by 3rd PG and reaches the outskirts of Smolensk. XXIV Mot Corps is relieved by the infantry from XII Corps and expands the breakthrough towards the south and east. XXXXVI Mot Corps continues to exploit the chaotic Soviet defenses around Gomel.
While I hoped to pocket the Soviet defensive line to the south, it turned out that the middle of the line was more vulnerable. 1st PG was able to knock two holes into the Soviet defenses and pocket an estimated 12+ Soviet divisions. The two attached infantry corps are in position to start eliminating the pocket next turn.
The double rail head is now through Proskurov with the 1st PG FBD and the Rumanian FBD is almost there too. The VIII Hungarian Corps is now working on the double rail to the southeast from Brest Litovsk to improve the rail lines to AGS.
The 2nd PG FBD reaches Khlobin where a new depot is placed and starts on the double rail north along the Dnepr River. The 3rd PG FBD reaches Polotsk and heads west towards Daugavpils. A new depot is placed at Daugavpils.
A depot is created at Jekabpils for the airbase there. The 4th PG FBD works towards Pskov and establishes a new depot at Ostrov for the airbases in the area. The RAD units attached to 18th Army are still working on connecting the captured rails to the rest of the rail net along with extending the rail net north.
I place some more depots in Hungary to supply the garrisons there. I have been moving the HQs forward while I work on the rail. The Reserve has three of the Light Flak units at 77 percent (the ones I placed on REFIT last turn). I place those three on REFIT again and note that I should only place two of them on REFIT as all were just short of Light Flak elements. Obviously the build limits are only good for two units a turn. Supply transports are sent to Gomel, Uman, and Ostrov.
